About the Job
We are a modern, fully digital periodontics and implant specialty practice seeking a dependable, proactive Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team. We are continually improving our workflows through technology and digital systems to provide exceptional patient care while creating an efficient and collaborative work environment.

We're looking for someone who enjoys learning, takes initiative, welcomes feedback, and wants to grow with our practice. Previous periodontic experience is not required—we are happy to train the right person.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the periodontist during surgical and non-surgical procedures.
  • Prepare operatories and instruments to support efficient patient flow.
  • Take digital radiographs and CBCT scans.
  • Perform intraoral scans (Trios).
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment, lab, and supply areas.
  • Maintain a clean, organized lab, sterilization area, supply closet and operatories .
  • Follow sterilization and infection control protocols.
  • Accurately document treatment in digital records.
  • Prepare and send prescriptions electronically as directed.
  • Provide post-operative instructions as directed.
  • Review the daily schedule and prepare operatories in advance.
  • Anticipate clinical needs and take initiative to help prevent delays.
  • During clinical downtime, assist with patient follow-up, scheduling support, and other operational tasks to help maintain an efficient patient experience.
  • Support the clinical and administrative team as practice needs evolve.

What We're Looking For:
  • Active California Dental Assistant X-ray & Infection Control Certificate.
  • RDA license is not required.
  • Comfortable learning and using modern technology and digital systems.
  • Experience with Archy is a plus.
  • Learns quickly, welcomes feedback, and enjoys continuous improvement.
  • Takes initiative and stays productive without constant direction.
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Works efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Friendly, professional, and reassuring with patients.
