Job Overview
We are a high-quality, patient-focused periodontics practice in San Diego seeking a professional, organized, proactive Treatment Coordinator to join our team.
Our office is small, efficient, collaborative, and systems-oriented. We value initiative, accountability, strong communication, and excellent patient care.
This role serves as the primary patient care coordinator and plays a key role in patient experience, treatment coordination, schedule productivity, and case acceptance. You will work closely with the doctor, clinical team, and front office team to ensure a seamless patient experience from consultation through treatment completion.
We are seeking someone who is confident, detail-oriented, emotionally steady, and able to guide patients through treatment and financial conversations professionally and compassionately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a productive, organized, and efficient schedule.
- Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out professionally.
- Answer calls, emails, and texts promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate scheduling, treatment, and patient follow-up.
- Review consent forms, treatment plans, insurance estimates, and financial portions with patients.
- Discuss payment options and collect payment.
- Support case acceptance and treatment follow-through.
- Coordinate communication between patients, insurance and clinical team.
- Follow up on unscheduled treatment and recall to help maintain schedule productivity.
- Assist with insurance and predetermination processes as needed.
Responsibilities may evolve as practice systems and workflows continue to improve.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Warm, professional, patient-focused demeanor.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with technology and learning new systems/software.
- Typing speed of 50+ WPM.
- Reliable, proactive, and accountable.
- Strong follow-through and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable discussing finances and guiding patient conversations professionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Dental front office, treatment coordinator, hospitality, sales, or patient coordination experience.
- Knowledge of periodontics, implants, and PPO insurance.
- Eaglesoft experience preferred.
- Experience with treatment presentation and patient financing is a plus.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and skill level.
